Stop Motion Studies

2017-19

Created at MassArt and Virginia Commonwealth University, these animations represent some of the experiments that I’ve done in stop motion that don’t quite comprise polished, completed films, but still have interesting elements nonetheless.

An animation about a piece of clay rescuing marbles trapped by an evil bear.

Charcoal animation about lying in bed.

An animation about shells dancing with a hacky sack.

A stop motion experiment about a color changing interplanetary explorer.

This was a test of a wire armature of one of the dolls that was used in "The Enduring Practice,"

An animation inspired by an excerpt of “The Old Patagonian Express by Paul Theroux.
